I first shared the inspiration for this series via Instagram Stories and what I enjoyed most about the initial discovery is that it felt freeform and intuitive. I was finding the color in my environment, in books, and once I started dabbling on Pinterest, the floodgates really opened. As I continue to develop these works over the next few months, I have a longer-term goal of holding a solo show to honor the work and showcase not only the finished pieces, but also highlight the process as a core component of how the work comes together.
